Last.fm Wave Graph

In a lovely bit of information visualization, someone has devised a colour wave graph to show trends in your music listening. On the X-axis is time, in my case ranging from 2006 to 2008. On the Y-axis are the artists themselves, with the thicker the artist wave, the more that artist was listened to at that time point. Colour is a measure of recency of listen - in the case shown below, artists that were listened to from the begininng are red, and artists that are new are at the green-blue range. Colours, and many other options, are totally customizable.

This is a section of my wave graph, with the artist labels removed. (Click the image to see the full thing.) It really is quite beautiful. I think I'll get it framed.

That's amazing! Will you really get it framed? With or without labels? I'm going to go find mine now.

    Totally unrelated... http://www.merch-bot.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67_134&products_id=1271

Wait... everything I say is usually unrelated.

Ok. I enjoy your visualization's colours. Where would the frame's final destination be? (bedroom, bathroom or rec room)

Ha, I was only half-serious about getting it framed. But it would look nice, wouldn't it?

(seen the librarian tattoos. Heck, I think I even wrote something about it here)

Opps. guess I'm not up on my breakablecrate.com. Forgive me, I feel guilty and shameful.
