Swype out.

I twittered this, but I think this is going to be a big deal sometime soon, so I'll repeat it here. Swype is a new way to input text for those applications where a full keyboard isn't present but a touch screen is. It doesn't involve tapping, it involves, well, swiping. You drag your finger (or stylus) across the virtual keyboard, hitting the letters in your word, and Swype does the figurin' and spits out the word. It uses a sufficiently large enough dictionary that it can process the most likely word you want from the all the letters you've landed on. Perhaps the craziest bit is that you can theoretically swipe faster than you can tap: 50 wpm vs. 20. These guys get top marks for clever design.

Watch the video presented at the TechCruch50 start-up conference.

(Also worth checking out: Grockit: a "Massively Multi-Player Online Learning Game" - they call call this learning 2.0, and I'm inclined to believe.

Other Jury Selections: Yammer (aka twitter for business), Atmosphir, FitBit, and GoodGuide <- This could be really good, you can use it now)
