bon voyage
2009 January 19
Sarah's on her way to the other side of the world now, where she'll be for many months. In fact, she's mid-air as I write this. Here's hoping the journey is as good as a 21(?) hour flight can be. [Update: She's safely there, overcoming jet lag, and doing lab work.]
So, it was 26 hours from the time I left home to the time I arrived at my place in Brisbane. After a 2 hour delay in Toronto, a 5+ hour flight to LA and a mad scramble through LAX (because I originally only had 2 hours to transfer), I settled in to my 14 hour flight to Brisbane. They fed us supper and breakfast and I had my own little tv but I ended up only watching one movie all the way through (Ghost town- it was ok; I couldn't sit through Mama Mia) and watched 3 Family Guy episodes. Four hours sleep and I was in Brisbane. Let the fun (and heat) begin!
Hi! She arrived! I saw her! And again, I just saw her again!
