Yeah, so I don't post much. Not much is going on, and when something is, it tends to be photo documented. I work, I rent video games. Oh, I know! I sold my Wii and bought a PS3 with the proceeds. I am much happier now. You see, I can sort of watch Blu-ray rentals (sort of, because my audio receiver chokes on the crazy high-bitrate audio), and if I go to rent a game, and it's not available for the 360, I can just get the PS3 version! Brilliant!

I was just chatting with james, and he sent me links, which I will share with you here. Others are mine.

We choose the moon. A recreation of the moon mission from back in the day. Presented by the JFK museum and LIBRARY.

Vibram 5-fingered (toed?) shoes. Yeah, you'll look like a freak. But this is the way of the future, man. embrace it.

Project Tuva. Bill Gates buys the video rights to Richard Feynman's physics lecture from back in the day. He calls them inspiring. They are free.

Don't even reply. letters from an asshole. This guy responds to classified ads and acts like a dick. It's funny.

Also funny is http://ncbirofl.blogspot.com/. Ridiculous research.

I spend a lot of time listening to podcasts, since 2 hours of my day are in the car. I can highly recommend Spark from CBC, which I just started listening to. (and RadioLab, but I think I've talked about that already). You can google those, since I'm feeling lazy.

I'm totally going to virgin fest if I can get tickets, since it promises to be the last show NIN plays in Canada for a long time, if ever.

Yes, I know these aren't links anymore. I like saying 'from back in the day' when I can't be bothered to find an exact date.

They are supersizing their snacks.

library.mcmaster.ca finally launched. Birthings are never easy, or so I hear. This one was no different. Of course, I'm pleased as punch with our bouncing baby girl (or boy? Maybe gender-neutral). Heck, this is the culmination of four months of full-time work for me.

As my Boss, A E-J, mentioned on twitter, one of the best parts of the unveiling is getting the unfiltered feedback from the community. There's a little feedback widget that floats on every page, and users can submit their feelings directly from that page. Without quoting directly, feedback tends to veer towards the 'angry' end of the spectrum when users find that their tried-and-true methods of doing things don't work anymore. They say stuff like 'awful', 'this sucks', and 'the feedback widget is all over the screen and is annoying'. My favourite is the person that told us that he ran the website through an HTML validator, and it showed all kinds of errors. Now that's my kind of user! Every feedback message means a lot to us, though.

Truth is, the website still needs a lot of work, and is essentially useless in IE6 (damn you, IE!!). We're working on it, and we promise to do some useability testing too.

Then the 55-year-old North Richland Hills man walked into a field, tied helium balloons to a gun, covered his mouth with duct tape, and shot himself in the back of the head, according to New Mexico State Police.

That determination is a far leap from what authorities first suspected when Mr. Hickman's body was discovered March 15 near Santa Rosa, N.M., about 100 miles east of Albuquerque. Authorities initially thought the Red Lobster executive had been kidnapped and slain...
Last night I had a feverish dream, not of revenge and doubt as the Tragically Hip recount, but of maps and gridlines and who knows what else. Feverish dreams are the worst. They are hard work. As Mitch Hedberg said,

"I hate dreaming. Because when you sleep, you wanna sleep. Dreaming is work, you know - there I am in a comfortable bed, the next thing you know I have to build a go-kart with my ex-landlord. I want a dream of me watching myself sleep."
